Words From The Edge es una película sobre una transición sin precedentes que estamos viviendo de una cultura de crecimiento industrial y desigualdad a lo que, inevitablemente tiene que ser más localizado, sostenible y una economía viva. Acercamos las cuestiones del pico del petróleo, la inestabilidad climática y la crisis económica a la vida de 4 "personas comunes". Les oímos hablar de sus esperanzas y miedos y los pasos que están dando para hacer frente a los retos futuros. Sus historias se entrelazan con las entrevistas de líderes y pioneros en el campo de la fundación de resistencia ecológica, la permacultura y el movimiento de las ciudades en transición.

Words From The Edge is a film about the unprecedented transition that we are undergoing from a culture of industrial growth and inequality to what must inevitably be more localised, sustainable, living economies. It’s a film about what this shift involves, and what we need to do to get there. Following five ‘ordinary people’ as they look to an uncertain future and explore the steps they can take to face it…Their stories are interwoven with interviews with leaders and pioneers in the field of resilience-building.

Como última voluntad tras su muerte, un pastor encarga a su hijo un complicado deseo.: llevar su rebaño de cabras desde la montañas al mar. José iniciará un complicado viaje a través de la naturaleza andaluza que le hará reencontrarse consigo mismo.
The last wish of a shepherd to his son Jose is a bit difficult to fulfill: He wants Jose who works in a office to lead his goats from the mountains to the sea. So Jose goes on a complicated journey through Andalusian Nature finding himself at the end.

Cerca de la costa africana un porta-contenedores debería haber repostado carburante en alta mar. El barco es remolcado hasta el próximo puerto y tiene que esperar ahí órdenes. La tripulación empieza a preguntar por su sueldo y el capitán a estar muy disgustado con esta intolerable situación.
Near the african coast a container-ship should have been recharged with fuel off shore. The ship is towed into the next harbor and has to wait there for new orders. The crew is starting to ask for their money and the captain to get very unhappy about this intolerable situation.
